Wes Brown proves his right-back candidacy

I’ve been debating this issue over the last few days as to who should be Fergie’s #1 choice for the right back position. Rafael Da Silva certainly made a case for himself in Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Aalborg.
Many people have been telling me Wes Brown should be third in the depth chart for the right back position behind Da Silva and Gary Neville. I even threw out the notion of Brown moving over to second in the depth chart behind Ferdinand, alongside Johnny Evans.
Nonetheless, Wes Brown proved to Fergie today against Blackburn that he intends to fight for his spot on the starting first team. With the first goal from the corner kick, Brown also set up the second goal with a fantastic ball to Ronaldo who then assisted Rooney with the goal.
I am sure we will see who Fergie values the most at that spot against Celtic in the next round of Champions League action of October 18th.
