New Rules for Matchday 9 – United take on Everton
October 25, 2008 by: Marc McDermott | Our Manchester United Soccer Blog
This is the first of many posts in a new ManUtdBlogs.com series of ‘new rules.’ Many may pick up on the theme of these witty ‘rules’ from the popular comedian and HBO talk show host, Bill Maher. Bill is hands down one of the best articulated comedians around today.
So without further ado, here are the NEW RULES for Matchday 9 (Manhchester United v. Everton).
New Rule: Christiano Ronaldo’s acting career needs to come to an end. After Phil Neville slid in with a somewhat dirty tackle today, Ronaldo’s fall and frantic rolling on the ground was something worthy of an oscar. Yes the tackle was uncalled for from Gary’s other half but Real Madrid fans just are not yet used to Ronaldo’s ways. Wait, did I say Real Madrid?
New Rule: Rio Ferdinand and Wes Brown are not invited to Rooney’s birthday party next year. Wayne Rooney turned 23 yesterday and it seems Ferdinand and Brown were not exactly on top of their game today. In fact, today was one of the worst games I’ve seen Ferdinand play in a Manchester United shirt. Maybe they thought they had England shirts on alongside fellow England defender Ashley Cole with those appalling pass backs today.
